The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has ruled all U.S. health plans purchase coverage for sterilization and contraceptives, including drugs that induce abortion, as part of preventative health care services provided under the Affordable Care Act.

A diocesan-wide celebration of Morning Prayer will be held June 30th at 9:30am at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Office for Social Concerns will sponsor a forum on religious liberty at 7pm, June 27th at Immaculate Conception parish. Join us in this campaign to stand up for religious liberty and conscience rights!

Visit the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops' website to learn more about how this action compromises our constitutional freedom guaranteed under the First Amendment to live according to our religious beliefs as Catholics. ACTION: Please contact your Congressional Representative and your Senators with the following message: "We urgently need legislation to correct the recent HHS mandate's threats to religious liberty and rights of conscience. Please support the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act."

St. Elizabeth Parish has kicked off a unique and ongoing fundraiser through Shaklee that will be targeted to help fund upcoming maintenance items that are not within our current budget. Such as items include but are not limited to the following: replacing a 30 year old heating & air conditioning system; repairing and/or replacing the parking lot; and replacing church carpet.
     Our Parish Volunteer Coordinator, Amy Cotter, will be our Shaklee Representative. Shaklee has over 300 products (vitamins, household cleaners, personal care and beauty products).
